4 Day . Alla Prima Still Life Painting

The focus of this class will be on painting a still life alla prima (direct wet into wet) and the various techniques used to create a fresh, spontaneous response to your subject matter while the paint is still wet. After an initial demonstration, students will work on their own by applying paint in large tonal patches, refining, and adding details as they move along.

This class will be particularly helpful to students who wish to paint more loosely, use brush strokes economically and take advantage of the inherent beauty of wet oil paint. Students of all levels are welcome.

We will paint from 9:00 a.m. to 4 p.m daily.
