3 Day . Pastels from Start to Finish - City to the Landscape - Studio
This workshop will concentrate on capturing any scene with a limited palette. Students will be shown how to create successful paintings through simple basic concepts. The workshop will concentrate on different techniques involving the use of under washes to different types of papers and manipulating the pastel.
There will be daily demonstrations with the emphasis on drawing, design and correct values. Also there will be discussion on framing and using fixatives for your finished pastels. Students are encouraged to bring there own photo references and if possible bring there own laptop computers with pre-loaded images.
We will paint from 9:00 a.m. to 4 p.m daily.
