One of the most important parts of landscape painting is design. In the landscape we must eliminate things, simplify and not paint everything we see.
Gabor will show you how to relate things to each other so you won’t have to struggle with your values and get elements down quickly. He will show the class how to simplify and mass in your paintings right at the start before the light changes.
Salida offers the mountains, pastures, farmhouses and water scenes. The Arkansas River runs straight through the town so we will have the chance to paint some nice river scenes.
Daily demonstrations are in oil and critiques are given everyday.
The group will have dinner together one of the nights.
We will paint from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m daily.
