3 day . Studio Landscape Workshop I
In this 3 day workshop students will work on using field studies
and other reference materials to create studio landscape paintings. The
class will start with an abbreviated lecture on the fundamentals of
sound painting, including a discussion of the importance of drawing,
value, design, and color. Students will also focus on seeing in terms of
mass and form rather than detail and line. From these fundamentals,
students will proceed to work on their own studio landscape paintings.
Students should bring reference materials such as plein air sketches,
field studies and photographs.
Each participant will be given personal attention and we will complement this with daily demonstrations.
We will paint from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m daily.
