3 Day . Taking Your Work from Plein Air to Studio
In this workshop Phil will focus on how to use and mix color to achieve the results you need to paint outside. The class will spend 2 days outside in the beautiful mountains of Tucson learning to mix color and understand ariel perspective, and in the older neighborhoods of the barrios studying street scenes and architecture.
The last day will be spent in the studio learning to translate the outdoor studies as well as your photographic references to make a studio painting from start to finish. Phil will also lecture on how to set up a studio and be more effective in setting and meeting goals.
Daily demonstrations are in oil and critiques are given everyday.
We will paint from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m daily.
